The Yuanhe River Waterway Improvement Project is a key project under the "14th Five-Year Plan" for water transportation construction by the Ministry of Transport, and it is also the largest one-time investment in water transportation infrastructure in Jiangxi Province's history.
In October 2025, the CSM equipment from Jing'an Heavy Industry New Energy Power arrived at the Huzhou work area in Xinyu, Jiangxi Province, to undertake the construction of the seepage prevention wall project for the surrounding dam.
Chen Wei, Chairman of Jing'an Heavy Industry and President of Jiangxi Chamber of Commerce in Xuzhou, is delighted that the CSM equipment he has meticulously crafted can contribute to the construction of water conservancy projects in his hometown. The quality of the walls constructed by Jing'an Heavy Industry's CSM equipment has further bolstered Chen Wei's confidence in his products.

TRD and CSM are two major tools in the construction of underground diaphragm walls, which are applied in different geological environments.
The geological condition of the Xinyu Wuzhou work area is characterized by interbedding of clay and gravel. This interbedding of clay and gravel features complex stratification and significant differences in permeability, making it suitable for the construction of impervious walls using the double-wheel milling deep mixing (CSM) method to cut off the seepage path of the gravel layer.
The CSM method employs a dual-wheel milling device to achieve precise drilling through cylinder pressurization. After milling to the design depth, the dual wheels rotate in opposite directions for lifting, while high-pressure grouting forms a uniform and continuous cement wall. This method boasts outstanding advantages such as strong adaptability to different strata, high construction efficiency, controllable wall quality, and minimal environmental impact. Furthermore, the depth and thickness of the resulting wall can be adjusted according to construction requirements.
"Engineer Lu, the on-site technical leader of Jing'an Heavy Industry, explained: 'The interlocking construction technology is employed between the impermeable wall segments to achieve seamless connections between them, effectively eliminating joint leakage. This has constructed a continuous, complete, and sturdy underground fortress for the Yuanhe River's century-long impermeable project.'"
