At the 2024 Spring Festival annual meeting of Jing 'an Heavy Industry, Liu Jin received the "Jing 'an Craftsman" certificate from Chairman Chen Wei, and the smile on his face revealed the joy in his heart. The two characters "craftsman", which embody the qualities of dedication, precision, focus and innovation, confirm Liu Jin's value pursuit and also reflect his regret-free youth.

Liu Jin, the structural design supervisor of the R&D Technology Department of Xuzhou Jing 'an Heavy Industry Machinery Manufacturing Co., LTD. In 2011, at the age of 28, Liu Jin, by chance, embarked on his career in the structural design of full-rotation drilling RIGS. At that time, Chen Wei led the R&D team to successfully develop China's first full-rotation drilling rig. The upcoming product optimization and upgrading as well as serialization work provided a broad stage for Liu Jin to display his youthful intelligence.

Liu Jin was well aware that although he had six years of technical work experience before, when facing a brand-new product, if he wanted to achieve remarkable results, he must quickly familiarize himself with the product's principle, structure and performance, and grasp the development direction of the product. So, he calmed down and threw himself down. During the day, I would immerse myself in the workshop and work together with the front-line employees, learning through practice. In the evening, I put down my chopsticks and bowls and sat in front of the computer, looking at the drawings and consulting materials to improve my theoretical skills. He is not ashamed to ask questions from those below him. Whenever he encounters problems that he doesn't understand, he consults others. With this tenacity, Liu Jin quickly integrated into the team and got into his role, becoming a key technical member of the R&D team at Jing 'an Heavy Industry.

Jing 'an Heavy Industry is a company that highly values the spirit of innovation. The strong atmosphere of innovation has stimulated Liu Jin's innovative drive and also given rise to one innovative achievement after another.

Liu Jin learned through communication with users that the full-rotation drilling rig would experience a decline in construction accuracy when used under heavy load for a long time. After investigation and analysis, Liu Jin believes that although the nylon sliding sleeve of the column has the advantages of light weight, good wear resistance and long service life, it has poor thermal stability. It is prone to heating and deformation after long-term use, which affects the construction accuracy of the equipment. After a period of unremitting research, Liu Jin proposed a technical solution of replacing nylon sliding sleeves with alloy sliding sleeves and successfully passed the argumentation of the R&D technology department. After the implementation of the plan, the construction accuracy of the equipment was greatly improved, which increased the construction speed for users and thereby reduced the construction cost.

Liu Jin has been devoted to the structural optimization of the product. In this regard, he has made both minor improvements and radical changes.

The hydraulic oil pipes outside the cylinder of the full-rotation drilling rig are often damaged during the transportation, installation and use of the equipment. Liu Jin then discussed improvement methods with his colleagues in charge of hydraulic technology. Finally, the solution of embedding the oil pipe into the cylinder wall was determined. This not only fundamentally avoids the possibility of the oil pipe being hit, but also saves the installation space. This innovative achievement has a novel idea and leads the industry.

The slewing bearing and the slewing cone of the full-rotation drilling rig are two major separate components. Under Liu Jin's leadership, the two components were designed as an integrated unit. This major innovation reduced the steel usage of the components by 4 to 5 tons. Not only did it bring significant economic benefits, but it also greatly reduced the self-weight of the equipment and simplified the installation process.

For over a decade, Liu Jin has been forging ahead with determination under the leadership of Chairman Chen Wei. The company has grown from an unknown small enterprise to a leading player in the industry today. Liu Jin has also evolved from an ordinary technician to a technical expert in the structural design of pile driving machinery, making outstanding contributions to improving the quality, efficiency, cost reduction, and product series of full-rotation drilling RIGS.

Liu Jin is usually not a talkative person, but whenever it comes to innovation, he seems to have endless topics to talk about. As a member of the post-80s generation, we have encountered a great period of vigorous development for our country. As a technician working in the manufacturing industry, especially in a company like Jing 'an Heavy Industry that is innovative and developing, innovation is my responsibility and mission. I may not become a great craftsman, but I can always approach my work with the attitude and spirit of a craftsman. I believe that only in this way can I live up to my youth and time. Liu Jin said seriously.
